I've also had ground problems with my nose gear door trying to close before

the

nose wheel is retracted.  I replaced the sequence valve a couple of times and

finally resorted to adding the optional hydraulic line that adds down pressure

to the door cylinder in the hopes that somehow this'll do the trick.  I've yet

to try it out.

It's a real head scratcher.  In theory that door should not move until the

sequence valve is actuated (at the end of the wheel cycle of course).  All

I can

figure is that the valve leaks a little.  I think the mains (with hydraulic

door

option) inboard doors threaten to do the same thing.

How did you fix this?

I too had the nose gear door close before gear retraction.  It

happened only two or three times when I first activated the gear.  It

did a little damage, too.

Since the manual does not give any instruction on bleeding the line,

and I didn't, I concluded that air in the line was leaking through the

valve activatind the retract, but not the hydraulic fluid.  I haven't

had further problems in, probably, 100+ retractions.  I'll bet deChaze

is right that the valve is leaking.

Now I'm having to replace the o-rings on the door cylinder because

one somewhere in there has already failed.  Any others had a sudden,

heavy leak there?
