Another good reason to have 2 comm radio's.  The military, and most

commercial aircraft monitor 121.5/243.0 on the 2nd radio when enroute.  You

just never know when you might save someones life when they go, or are going

down.  Our emergency frequency radios at the ARTCC don't reach very far, and

are usually quite far away from the sector we are working.  As for getting

the ATIS on ACARS, yes I'll have that in my ES, isn't everyone putting it

in?  :-)
