Webinar: Rich Stowell Discusses Loss of Control

Notice Number: NOTC4543

MAINTAINING AIRCRAFT CONTROL and How to Avoid Loss of Control
Loss of control (LOC) is by far the top occurrence category of fatal accidents in general aviation, with the greatest number of those accidents triggered during the maneuvering phase. As a result, LOC is a special emphasis area for the FAA.
During this first-ever FAA webinar, subject matter expert and 2006 National Flight Instructor of the Year Rich Stowell will discuss where and when LOC is most likely to occur, the typical chain of events that lead to accidents, and the critical importance of angle of attack awareness in preventing LOC. Rich will also propel learning to the correlation level by delving more deeply into the dynamics of maneuvering flight.
For this first-ever National FAASTeam Webinar, we have very limited "seats" so please only register if you really plan to attend. If you are unable to register, please bear with us as we work through these initial teething pains. There will be future Webinars on many topics!
