If you send me your email, I’ll send you some pictures (big file).

I have a IV/IV-P cowl with a TSIO-550 on a Lancair ES.  My baffling part number was for a IV/IV-P.  I just didn’t install the 3rd intercooler baffle plate.

My engine runs almost too cold in the winter.  I have talked to at least 2 others (IV and ES) who have this same installation and their engines also run cold.
CHT’s are also very close (+/- 15 dF in cruise).

Two things to check.

1.
With the cowling on, use a bore scope to check you silicone baffling/cowling interface.

2.
Find any hole(even something that looks ridiculously small) and plug it.

Subject: [LML] Baffeling for your IV-P

Hello All,

I am wondering if anyone has some photos of what a good baffeling system for an IV-P looks like.  When talking to GAMI today they implied that baffeling for the IV-P isn't great.  I'm wondering if anyone can post a few photos of what their baffeling looks like
so that I can compare with what I have and see what I can do to improve the airflow.
