Just about to cut my 235 gear doors in two and I scaled down the 320

outback gear 2 part door template and it looks like if I maintain the

same ratio (outer door length:inner door length) I'll end up with about

3.5 inches of ground clearance with the outer door.  This seems low with

the compression of the doughnuts and tire upon landing.  Can anyone with

the 2 part gear door measure the ground clearence with the outer door

and e-mail me back/post it and I'll adjust the cut of the doors apart

accordingly (or is the gear stiff enough so 3.5 inches will be ok?).

Thanks.
