We had problems with him when

We had problems with him when they first purchased Lancair.  We flew our retractable nose gear ES Speedster (now known as a Mako) to SnF before they even produced the first Mako.  CH berated the owner.  Went on about the  Superior engineering required and which only resides at Lancair.  I'm happy to say our award winning ES Speedster is doing well 15 years later.  It wasn't worth responding to CH ignorance.

Hey FWIW, CH bought a business with a love of aviation and is trying to make it work.  The problem is their business model.  Cost over Quantity will kill you every time in aviation as a Manufacturer.  It's actually quite simple!  Cost is everything!

I'm sorry that this

I'm sorry that this reputation has been made up for me.  I try my best to add to the community and do what I can to help out fellow Lancair Owners.  I do not recall any interactions like this, but would love to talk on the phone sometime to apologize and talk all things Lancair.  I am very active with many owners and builders and love innovation that results in furthering the Lancair name.  I continue to race a Lancair Legacy at Reno and we are all very active in improving the 320 and Legacy models there.  Cell: 830-591-8218

I have been frustrated, at

I have been frustrated, at times, with Lancair under the new ownership.  That said, I've had far more positive interactions and transactions than not.  And recently, I have bought some major parts I was surprised they had for reconstruction of my IVPT.  The pricing and response to requests by Conrad and Roxanne has been excellent.  While years ago it was hard to contact the parts department, and sometimes messages were not followed up on, Roxanne has been totally responsive and followed up with everything I've asked her about.  My last visit she helped me find a saw to cut down a fast build vertical tail section to fit in my Mooney for the transport back to the U.P., and then helped haul some of the parts across the ramp and get them in my airplane.  I forgot, in the stress and rush to get to TX to pick up my Mooney, to bring a check as promised.  She took some credit card info from me and allowed me to leave and wait for the check, which arrived 3-4 days later in the mail.

I've had a few interactions

I've had a few interactions with Roxanne and she's responsive and on-point. No complaints on my end regarding her or Lancair.

I respectfully object to this

I respectfully object to this type of post on LOBOLive!.

Naming an individual and being allowed to berate them in an open manner like this sets a terrible precedent for the future of the message board; now anyone can, with impunity, pick any member they have a beef with and tear them a new one.

i don’t think this is the direction we should allow LOBOLive! to go.
(I also believe there is some liability to the association, by allowing potentially libelous statements such as this.)

I think the entire thread should be removed, and future similar posts should be immediately removed.

The OP needs to find some other way to address his concerns than by using LOBOLive! as a tool to bully a person.

While I would not want to

While I would not want to impeach anyone's specific experience, I can definitively say that I've never had anything but positive helpful interactions from Conrad personally.  I can never recall him being short or argumentative or anything like that and I can recall several times where he has taken time, often at odd hours to assist me.  He's never been anything but patient and very intuitive and smart about aviation and these planes specifically.   As for their business model, I could certainly conjure up what I think it should be or a wish list of what I would like to see, but I'm sure, like my business, it looks easier than it is from the outside looking in.  Regardless of that, as far as Conrad (and Mark and Roxanne and all the others there), they are all generally very helpful and supportive.

In order for this forum to

In order for this forum to function, we depend on contributors to make the content useful and constructive.

To that end, we are taking the action Dave Taylor recommended (see above) and closing the entire conversation. The original post was removed for violating the terms of service, but the Topic lived on, and was not constructive.

The LOBO board and the moderator are in the learning process right now and we appreciate your post and your thoughts. We want to make the forums an open discussion platform, but we agree that bullying and name calling are out of line. We want all parties -- builders, pilot/owners, Lancair International and Evolution Aircraft Company, the insurance brokers, and the build shops -- to have a voice on this platform and will continue to support everyone's contributions to the Lancair/EVO community.
