The Type Club Coalition (TCC), of which LOBO is a signatory member, has written a letter to the FAA urging an expedient review of a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) regarding reform of the third-class aeromedical certification. The NPRM recommends modernization of the FAA's third-class aeromedical process based on the success of the Sport Pilot program. In the letter, the TCC notes that many segments of the aviation community successfully incorporate medical self certification, and that the current system inhibits frank discussion between pilots and doctors.
