I was wondering what push button switch folks have used in place of the standard keyed ignition switch as well as what switches were used to ground the mags?
As far as grounding the mags, there's not a lot of current to switch since you're grounding the primary windings not the high voltage secondary windings. Almost any switch would work. I use small locking toggle switches that you have to pull a little before you can switch them. That makes it a little more difficult to accidentally bump them off. They have worked for 2400 hours in our 320 and 2200 hours in our IV.
